My pearly whites are my pride and joy, so when I was nominated by David Guison to use the right toothbrush for Smile Pilipinas, I was flattered and intrigued all the same. I don’t generally have problems with my teeth—they are strong and they function, but if I could personally improve it, I would want to have better oral health. I’ve recently pledged to be more consistent with my Dentist visits but if there’s anything I would want to change, it’s by correcting the minor discolouration on my teeth brought about by my plaque build-up from drinking soft drink during every meal.
But of course, oral health isn’t just contained by the mere physical appearance of my teeth. Plaque is one of the root causes of oral health concerns. For some time, I’ve always thought that my teeth were strong because I haven’t had a history of cavities and yes, my teeth may be stronger than most people, but I’m not immune to plaque. If left unattended, did you know that plaque could turn into cavities? Since I missed my half-year appointment with the dentist, I’ve noticed that my teeth were further getting discoloured and there’s a somewhat fuzzy feeling on the teeth surface. Thankfully, a month before my appointment, I was able to get a hold of the Oral B Pro-Health Cross Action toothbrush. This toothbrush provides superior cleaning with its unique 16-degree angle brush to remove 99% plaque and helps prevent oral health problems; as soon as I was done brushing my teeth, I felt that it was thoroughly cleaned—nothing stuck in between and when I’d rub my finger on my two front teeth, it would literally squeak!
Upon my visit to the Dentist, I was again told that I had no cavities and that my oral health was improving further. Now, I’m more critical about my teeth that I do brush twice a day with my Oral B toothbrush, I also floss, and I’ve already pencil-booked my appointment for next June! Having a great smile is like having your best foot forward, I support the Smile Pilipinas campaign because it gives me the confidence I need to flash that smile that’ll start the mood of my day. With this, I’d like to nominate my FOSSIL Joanna Ladrido.
Being in the same of vain of slightly Nationalistic endeavours, I took an Old Manila tour a couple of weeks back. I do recall going to Intramuros during my college days but I don’t think I really spent enough time to appreciate it. I’ll write in-depth about it in my new project soon but for now, see my white outfit perfect for the location!
