Just 24 days until Christmas! Happy 1st of December, everyone.
Apologies for neglecting this humble little blog, once again. I’m sure you’re all tired of my “I’m-so-busy-boo-hoo” excuse but I’m going to use that card anyway for as long as I’m employed. See, in a group of friends, you can count on me being the one who’s rushing in late to a dinner party in a whirlwind of clicking heels, obstructive oversized bag, and loose hair, throwing an apologetic: “got held up by work, sorry!” to everyone.
This has been my life for a year and a half, to be honest. I’m surprisingly happy with my status quo (and no, I’m not saying this because I’m in a charitable mood).
Speaking of Christmas, are you excited for the 10th instalment of Blogger’s United? Join me and your other favourite bloggers this Saturday, December 6, at the World Trade Centre as we do away with some of our stylish wardrobe. Who knows? You just might find a treat for yourself in time for the holiday season. I can also give you some free passes so either drop me a line or email me and I’ll be happy to turnover your names to the organizers.
That said, here’s a very dainty outfit I wore to work. I’m usually very experimental and the range of my fashion choices varies–though “dainty” seems very otherworldly on me, I’m digging the look. Apart from the bold print, what’s making this whole ensemble “uniquely me” is the presence of my Frency & Mercury sunnies.
For those of you who aren’t very well-acquainted with the brand, Frency & Mercury is a designer eyewear established in 2005. This Japanese brand prides itself with a variety of high-quality designs, putting the “Luxe” in Luxury. Each piece is a work of art, trust me, and I say this based on my aesthetic standards (which, if I do say so myself, is very high) and my penchant for superb craftsmanship. Of course, it’s not exactly a surprise considering each and every single pair is carefully designed by Eque M, and handcrafted with the best materials possible in the form of sturdy Japanese Acetate and lightweight pure titanium.
Of course, Frency & Mercury sunglasses aren’t for everyone. It does have a deservedly high price point simply because they’re best suited for art afficionados who prefer to wear masterpieces on top of having them on display. It is for the “bold and fearless.” It is available exclusively in high concept optical stores & high concept fashion stores in around 50 countries all over the world–in the Philippines, you can only get it from LS Optical.
The design I’m wearing is the California HMCP. It’s made of the two ingredients I mentioned above, and a detachable Cow leather lens. It comes in 2 colours–choco mint or pastel pink mirror. To check out their other designs, follow the Frency & Mercury Philippines Marketing arm: @frencyandmercuryph or @eyehubmanila on instagram.
