I’m an avid shopper—I shop physically in malls and boutiques, and during my spare time, I visit various online shops. Choosing where to go is heavily dependent on my availability: if I have the time for a quick stroll, I’ll go to the nearest mall, but if I’m bored and stuck in traffic or at home, I go for the online shopping experience.
But, what usually stops me from going all-out online is that I’ve had numerous bad experiences—I’ve had items arrive at my doorstep weeks late and nothing like the photos the seller has posted. What’s worse, I’ve had no items come to me despite making all the necessary payments. If I weren’t that addicted to shopping, I’d most likely be traumatized to the point that I won’t ever make another online purchase.
Thankfully, I came across Shopee. The thing I love about Shopee is that it gives me the same online shopping experience as I do when I browse through Instagram or Facebook shops—some of the shops that I have on my feed are there already such as: Jhajing and Soleil Swimwear). On top of that quirky small-business feel, I still get the same security as I do when I shop in big e-commerce stores. I can simply go over listings, search for keywords (in my case, I go for “clothes”) and voila, all the relevant products appear. When I do see products that I like, I can easily scroll down and see all the details I need like the shipping timeline, more views of the product, and a chance to talk to the seller through their commenting system or the “Chat Now” feature. Moreover, it directly shows you the location of the seller.
But that’s not all. If you have old items you want to get rid of, or if you’re feeling entrepreneurial and want to sell online, Shopee is also the perfect place for you. Creating your online shop is truly easy—simply download the app, verify your account (be it through your Facebook account or your phone), and then upload photos of your items! If you have an existing online shop on Instagram, you can use the IG Import to get your photos there using the app, or you can simply upload using your camera roll.
If this hasn’t convinced you yet, their Shopee Guarantee protects both buyers and sellers when making transactions, giving them a worry-free experience.
Shopee is the best platform for both buyers and sellers! It evens out the playing field and allows more people to get the full shopping experience. Download your app, now! shopee.ph/download. You can also follow them on social media:
I’m currently prepping my Shopee account (add me up: @dominiquetiu) and will be taking everyone on a virtual tour of the items I’m letting go. Since a lot of you have been asking me to post the photos of the unsold items from the last Blogger’s United sale, this is the perfect chance for you to find new homes for some of my loved items without the stress and hassle of physically meeting up with me.
That said, this was the very same outfit I wore to the most recent Blogger’s United and I can let you know that there will be another one on December but you don’t have to wait that long to see some of the items I own! Watch out for it on my Shopee account. Here are some more photos:
