Last July, I went to Bohol to serve as a third wheel for my faux-twin Joanna’s date-cation (while the boyfriend went on his merry way to the wild, wild west wheat tour). I was more than ready to be an unwanted guest by my crew simply because I love Bohol–it’s like an underrated tourist spot for beach bums like me. For those of you who haven’t been yet, put it on your bucket list!
So it was only poetic justice that we stay in my favourite hotel because really, I can stand being ignored but I can’t stand being in a sub-par hotel. For the nth time, I was welcomed by the Bohol Bellevue Resorts staff with open arms. I don’t think anything Ill ever say will put justice to the resort: it has pretty shore, a homey pool, great suites, A+ bathrooms, and breathtaking instagram-able views (check my previous Bohol post here back when I was crazy skinny).
Now I have my background in check, I just need to make sure I put my best face forward. Unlike my everyday look, I take the low-maintenance approach to makeup while I’m at the beach–considering I have my eyebrows threaded and eyelashes done religiously, it shouldn’t be that much of a feat. Of course, this also depends on your comfort level–go with or without, it’s ultimately up to you. I, on the other hand, prefer to have 2 things with me: my non-negotiable items are sunblock and foundation. Since I’ve been harping about the importance of sunblock in my past posts, I won’t dwell too much on it but as for foundation, I’ve made a recent discovery:
Klarity Lasertox Miracle White CC Lotion
I’ve been a loyal user of BB cream for ages and so I never felt the need to jump into the whole CC cream bandwagon. Though I’ve been sent multiple CC cream products before, I never really thought it was a compelling-enough product to blog about. Recently however, Singaporean brand Klarity sent me over a few of their products and the first thing I tried was their CC Lotion. unlike most BB/CC creams, it isn’t a tinted cream but rather a white emulsion you can blend on to your skin completely. It’s non-sticky and non oily, coming out matte upon application so it’s perfect to top off after putting on sunblock on your face–that or you can altogether skip sunblock since it has SPS 30 (I’m very paranoid so I opt not to skip). Because it has “diamond powder”, it automatically gives you that fresh, healthy glow you’re looking for (and I was literally told by my help once that I was “glowing” fairly recently upon using this product).
The Klarity Lasertox Miracle White CC Lotion is a well-rounded product with 11-in-1 benefits. In fact, I’ve been using this product even without foundation on top. It’s perfect for days when you simply want lightweight-feeling makeup but still with ample coverage. Plus, you can use it on your body too if you have areas where you want to correct colour like elbows, knees, or neck. For my Bohol trip in particular, I didn’t need to take too much time to prepare because all I needed were 2 products and it cut 15 minutes of my makeup regimen. Moreover, I felt at ease with my appearance and confident with how radiant my skin looked. Though they have yet to set shop in the Philippines (they will soon though), you can purchase this product here–it’s worth it!
Because I’m well covered, from my face to my toes, I wasn’t too concerned with how my photos looked. I didn’t really get to take a lot but I was mostly on snapchat. In case you missed it, you can add me up now at @dominiquetiu or you can check through my photos below. Enjoy!
