See, I’m not always inappropriately casual when I’m headed to work. I know I may give everyone the impression that I’m always mucking about in denim, shorts, or joggers, but believe me, I’m always in office-appropriate garb most of the time. My Corporate Clothing Choices are very straightforward… of course, it’s not to say that it’s sloppy or bland, but I simply don’t believe in overthinking an outfit. To make it much easier for me, I rely on a simple guide that’s an amalgamation of 3 alliterative (is that a word?) Cs: Conservative, Clean, and Classy.
On this particular work day, I wore a simple silk shift that could have been worn by itself as is (which was how most people would wear it, I believe) but seeing as I’m a huge sucker for emphasising assets, I opted to cinch my waist with a thin belt as it pronounced my curves better. Thankfully, the fabric was pretty thin so it draped on all the right places and didn’t really get me as sweaty as I thought it would.
Speaking of the heat, don’t you think it’s been quite intense these past few days? The average temperature ahs been running from around 31 degrees to almost 40. Just minutes after I step out of the car or my office, I’m already sweating in places I never would have thought existed. In fact, it’s becoming such a hassle to wear makeup because it ends up melting from the excess sweat on my face. Because sweat tends to clog up pores further and trap germs, I end up with a rogue pimple here and there.
Somehow I’ve noticed that I tend to have breakouts more frequently during the summer as opposed to the latter parts of the year. Despite all the cosmetic facial washes I use, somehow it’s not enough. According to my derma, I need to use facial washes with antibacterial property to ensure that I keep my face spot-free!
So when P&G sent me a bottle of Safeguard Derma Sense for the acne-prone skin and for sensitive skin in both bar and body wash variants, I was intrigued. The promise was to reduce mild to moderate acne by not just cleaning the skin’s surface but neutralizing acne-causing germs deep in the pores to give you healthy and beautiful skin. Now, I can try out and adapt it to my daily regimen!
Given that Safeguard is a legacy brand (I’ve been using Safeguard soap for washing my hands since I was probably a toddler), I’m quite excited and I implore everyone to try it out. If you’re worried about your skin being sensitive, much like mine, opt for the sensitive skin variant. Always remember to wash your face twice a day (morning and night), and apply said cleanser in mild and circular cleansing strokes. The journey to good skin starts now!
