Happy 2015, folks!
2014 was a quite a year–“tumultuous” would be the best word to describe it. There were some challenges along the way, a few impulsive decisions on my end, tons of fruitful outcomes, and a lifetime worth of learnings. Consequently, I had to let go of some good opportunities but somehow gained better ones, I met a lot of new people, I acquired new and exciting skills, and most importantly, I’ve learned to forgive (but I have yet to learn to forget–baby steps, my friends).
Last year was far from perfect but it was still a good year in totality. As each year passes, I can’t help but count my blessings. I know for a fact that I’ve been given too much–more than what I ask for, in fact; and in the process, I’ve learned to give back as well (albeit not as much, but again: baby steps). I am a lucky person, this much I know… and for 2015, I’m not going to put a stop to the winning streak. It’s all mind over matter.
So 2015, come at me ‘Bro! Give me all that you’ve got because I’m ready. To more adventures in life, Salud! Let’s all make a move to conquer this year and give it all we’ve got. Let’s make it count and make it a point to top 2014.
Here’s an outfit I donned for New Year’s Eve. As most of you may know, I always go back to my hometown to celebrate New Year’s with the family–a tradition, for the lack of a better term. I wanted to wear something nice but understated–nothing too flashy or disruptive… an ensemble that very much describes “me” in the upcoming 2015 setting. So rocking my new ‘do (ash brown extra-long bob), I took the “Madame” style one step further and owning it for this year. Here are some more photos:
