Apart from the intolerable humidity we’re currently experiencing, the cloudy weather and the surprise thunderstorms in the middle of the day are pretty much telltale signs that summer has already ended.
Gone too soon, I’d like to say.
There is, of course, the matter of store displays my favorite brands are harboring–with a gradual shift on aesthetics, textures, and colors to welcome the supposedly cooler season. Granted, the pastel trend of the summer is still being carried-over to the next few months but there is a reintroduction of heavier fabrics and darker hues.
But nothing’s going to dampen my spirit! I think shopping is still a joy despite the seasonal changes–the array of pastel colors in Zara has remained delectable enough to eat. Plus, I’m certainly not ready to give up the cropped top trends and tropical prints from Bershka and Stradivarius! In fact, I can’t wait for another SSI (Store Specialists, Inc) brand: Pull & Bear to open in Manila soon. The inner shopaholic in me is seriously spazzing out.
Here are some more photos of my recent rainy day outfit. Forgive the lighting, it was somewhat dark out when I took this set.
Again, we’ve reached the bottom of my blog post and as promised previously, I do have goodies to share to a few of my readers. As I’ve mentioned, it’s starting to rain with much frequency already and you know what’s perfect on a rainy day? Burgers! Piping hot and off the grill, with cheese oozing out of its perfectly baked buns!
For burger fans out there, I have the thing for you…
I’ve only been acquainted with this brand recently when an acquaintance of mine invited me over to have lunch. I’m not a huge fan of burgers, honestly, so I was delaying my visit despite its close proximity to my former office.
Thankfully, I gave it a chance because the burgers were awesome. I was impressed that they used good Cheese and not your typical, run-of-the-mill cheeses–I had a Gorgonzola cheese blend perfect with beef. Plus, their patties utilize Certified Angus Beef that is spiced and mixed uniquely (you can taste how good it is, really). Apart from that, they have their own concoction of fries smothered in cheese and bacon that’s a perfect accompaniment to the char-grilled burgers.
So if any of you are along Quezon City, in Tomas Morato area, drop by 72B Scout Reyes, corner Mother Ignacia Avenue, Barangay Paligsahan.
Check out their website: The Burger Company (becuse they deliver too)!
