I love skirts… in fact, I have an incessantly growing collection composed of more than a hundred pieces now and to think, I actually do clean-up my closet 4x a year. I am most especially drawn to irregular, asymmetrical cuts–think origami skirts! I also super adore loud and unique prints, tropical florals being the flavor of my Summer. So when I found this pale pink piece hanging on one of the racks in Zara Taipei, it went straight to my luggage (one of a handful, actually). It was only a matter of time for me to find the perfect occasion to strut in it. The opportunity came in the form of Blogger’s United 7 (in cooperation with Sunsilk) last May 10 in Metrotent Ortigas.
As you may already know, theBlogger’s United Bazaar, for the past 3 years or so, has proven to be a great avenue for both bloggers and readers to interact. It’s also a great place for people to find once or never-used trendy clothing for a fraction of the price! For hoarders like me on the other hand, it’s a great alternative to find a home for your once-loved clothing, knowing full well it’s going to a safe haven.
Call me obsessed or call me materialistic, but I’ve always loved Fashion knowing that it’s an underrated tool for self-expression, creativity, and story-telling. It’s events like Blogger’s United where one gets to see how society is evolving and how like-minded people share the same sentiment and views, specific to this industry.
Considering, I had a grueling 3 days given my Grandfather’s sudden health complications, I’m pretty happy that he made it through despite the odds being seemingly against him, and even happier that what preceded such an alarming event in my life, was one that was memorable and enjoyable thanks to Blogger’s United.
To all those who visited and bought from our booth, it was nice to meet everyone and to interact with all of you! Hope to see you all again in the next Blogger’s United and hopefully, we can top up our inventory with trendier clothes! Until next time! Here are some more photos of my outfit and of the event itself:
