Happy Chinese New Year, everyone (albeit belated)! I’m quite excited to welcome February with a few imminent changes–for one, I’m getting the hang of my new camera and lens (but I do owe my blog a few more backlogs), then there’s my pending resignation effective end of March, there’s Joanna’s 27th birthday party (to be celebrated via an awesome house party we planned), a few sought-after concerts like Feb Fest 2014 and 7107, a Fashion-related talk for DLSU’s LEAP, and a few more other pleasant opportunities! So the word for this blog post is…
How apt, right? Everything in life is all about anticipation. You never know what’s going to happen, really. As much as I hate the often taken out of context term YOLO-it’s true, you’re only going to live once and you can never fully know how that’s going to pan out, right? So I can’t tell for certain if this February will be great or what not but I’m pretty sure that the best way to approach it is to think positive.
Speaking of Anticipation, I just saw the trailer to The Fault in Our Stars, one of my favorite books ever (written by John Green). If you haven’t picked it up yet, I beg you–do so before the movie comes out. It is just so beautiful. It’s along the same lines as Perks of Being a Wallflower (a favorite of mine as well), only with less introspection I guess. It’s a beautiful hunk of literature really and I don’t think I’ve cried as badly over such a wonderfully written book with beautiful imagery (except for maybe Harry Potter 5, when they killed my soul animal Sirius Black).
Anyway, sorry, I’m such a goldfish… I go into tangents like a three-year-old. So I promised to come up with a beauty post over the weekend but really, it’s so hard to discern which beauty products from my arsenal that I want to be featured. I’m trying to trim it down to the ones I use frequently so give me until the next blog post. In the meantime, don’t forget to join my Salon Makeover contest from Matrix Professional.
So my boyfriend and I had our photos taken at the village park. We were about to go out to run errands and figured we were dressed well, so why not document it? Coincidentally, I was in a darker shade of orchid–not this year’s light pantone but I guess this will do. Here are some more photos:
