A while ago, I dropped by the Manila Sundance Bazaar at Metrotent, Ortigas with my sister. Before anything else, if you’re an avid reader of Konichiwear, you would know for a fact that I rarely, if not, never create OOTD (outfit of the day) blog posts and this is simply because I’ve a lot of backlogs to go through from weeks (even months) before.
This post, however, is different. I’ve never been to a Bazaar where I’m extremely ecstatic to share my experience. I’ve been to a lot of bazaars–the Rockwell Urban Bazaar, the Supersale Bazaar, and the Superb Bazaar, all of which I love and enjoy (especially the latter two) but the Manila Sundance Bazaar was an altogether different experience. It was just so… for the lack of a better term, “Hipster” and I mean that as a compliment of sorts.
It was all sorts of cute, radical, innovative, and just plain fun. The music was good, there were a lot of food concessionaires, and there’s a movie screening of sorts at the back.
Even before the event, I was already blown away by Creative Head Marika Callangan’s poster of me (see side bar Bulletin Board).
However, upon exploring the maze of stalls–I found a lot of newbie entrepreneurs offering unique products. There weren’t much duplications with the items being sold, and everything was just in trend with the items. The cherry on top is that every single seller I’ve encountered was extremely accommodating and lovely–I’ve no words.
So I’m posting this because tomorrow is the last day of the Manila Sundance Bazaar. If you’ve nothing urgent to do, I implore you to drop by. The entrance fee is minimal at 50 bucks, and I swear, you’ll come home with something. Here are some more photos from the events along with a set of my Hipster appropriate (call it a hunch) outfit:
Myself with the Booth of My Mix Boutique (she designs cute dresses), Colorete by Say (she has imported makeup and Sigma brushes–the best ever), and Kate Ros (she designs and personally makes cute accessories, see below photo)
