Back in High School, I used to love the color green with a passion. I think that was mostly because I was (and still probably am) a huge Harry Potter fan (sine I was eleven), and loved the Slytherin house to death. When I got into college, my favorite color automatically became blue as a result to acquiring school spirit–but trust me, that was pretty brief. Post-college though, I finally became more comfortable with my style, and realized that I liked neutral colors more: black, white, and beige hues.
This outfit is a perfect example of how my style evolved; it marries a few of my favorite colors and at the same time, exudes that elegant yet casual feel I was going after. I’m a fan of maxi-dresses and I think they’re perfect for the summer, but instead of toning it down like most people would, I decided to dress it up with a somewhat semi-formal halter top. I guess you can say that I like going against the grain, yes?
Anyway, sorry for the lack of posts! There’s a glitch in my website and my engineer and I haven’t figured out how to go about it yet. We’re getting there soon though so don’t fret! At last it’s working enough that I can post my days-delayed outfit photo! Hopefully, while I’m gone and enjoying Boracay, I’m still able to blog. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
This was a candid shot my household help took, by the way. I was still instructing her on how to make the automatic focus work and she snapped a photo by mistake. Because I’m self-deprecating like that, I’ve decided to post the photo anyway.
