I’ve been counting the days…
And no, I’m not being mopey or sad or antsy. In fact, the opposite as I’ve been counting the days with excitement! Yes, I know it’s been a month since my ultimate favorite season commenced (and that is, Summer in the Philippines) but I have 12 more days left before I can escape to a place most, if not all, Filipinos refer to as “paradise.”
I’m beyond excited, really. I’ve always loved Boracay and I’ve been going there since I was a teen (with my family and friends), way before the whole Labor Day hype. Now that I’m a bit older, my love for sunshine and the powdery white sands of Boracay hasn’t diminished one bit (that and I’m making a beeline to Labor Day celebrations).
I think there comes a point in your life where you just want to stop in the middle of it all and step out of the stress and drama surrounding you. That’s how I’ve been feeling these past few weeks given “recent developments” of a very important “happening” that we cannot yet disclose. You know how, even when things are working out in your favor, you just want everything to get over and done with so you can move on? Well, apparently, life doesn’t work out that way but the great thing is, we can afford to pause and bask whatever good things life has to offer and that has to account for something right?
Speaking of Summer, I’ve been tanning these past few weeks. I don’t like being too pasty, and I actually like having that bronze glow most surfer chicks and Filipinas have (emphasis on most).
Here are my swim essentials: Sunnies (by Les Fash), Waterproof Sandals (from Jelly Bunny), Awesome fitting Bikini (from Glitterati), Sunspray (from Nivea) and Denim shorts (from Wrangler). I don’t go on a trip to the beach or the poolside without the following, I swear! Usually, I like having with me something light, casual, practical, and functional, and these products are nothing but all of the above mentioned.
