Apologies once again for not being able to post as frequently as promised–I was swamped with paperwork and pitches. Such is the life of a busy bee! On the bright side, I was able to address my workload successfully so I’m a little bit less antsy! To keep the blessings rolling, I’m trying my best to immerse myself with nothing but positive aura (though recent events are testing my patience, really). Woosah!
Because it’s spring season once again, I’ve decided to come out and greet the (rather sunshiny) day in soft and feminine pieces. It’s an outfit that’s purely fashioned out of my own aesthetics, I believe. During these past few months, I’ve been a little bit more experimental with textures and styles given the different emerging trends and the various types of pieces I’ve been acquiring from random shops! So I’m pretty pleased that I got the opportunity to revert back to my old ways, yes?
I’m sure a lot of people would consider my outfit tame but I like it, I think it’s very “me”, so to speak–the ruffles, the silhouette, the colors, everything! Maybe at this point in life, tame is okay–be it in fashion choices or big life-altering decisions. When everything is going wonderfully for you, you don’t want to risk anything anymore. So maybe I’ll be a little bit safer this time around, maybe I’ll let go of that experimental, constant “searching for style” shtick I’ve been upholding for so long.
I think I’ve found me already.
Seriously, I love the Spring/Summer collection–I used to think I was an Autumn/Winter fanatic but I am so in love with the sun and how one can take certain liberties when it’s not too cold or chilly out! I think I’ve always been one to show off a bit of skin so I’m glad this outfit allows me to show just enough!
This pair of gorgeous suede peep-toes are from my thoughtful boyfriend. I’ve been waiting for that window of opportunity to wear the pair but unfortunately, it had to sit out and wait for 4 months. Regardless, I’m ecstatic that it was put to good use by topping this entire outfit! On hindsight, I just wanted to address a question asked to me by a few readers–I have no problems admitting that some of the items I don are given to me by my boyfriend. In fact, I am very much proud that I am loved and spoiled by someone amazing. Besides, I’m not really the type to pass off people’s gifts as my own purchases; why do I have to lie about that anyway? To what end? I think it’s more meaningful to wear something that’s given by someone from the bottom of their hearts–just my two cents!
