My FOSSIL JL texted me the other day if I wanted to accompany her to watch the Swedish House Mafia concert in the SM Mall of Asia Arena, so I considered the thought carefully. I haven’t been to a concert for the longest time (think: years) and I wanted to accompany her to make sure she was going to be alright, unharmed, and still in one piece at the end of the night.
So while en route to work, I exhausted all my contacts to scout for tickets. Before anyone could get back to me, I realized how ridiculous it was for me to score pricey tickets (for 2 people: my boyfriend and I, of course) to watch a music group (are they even a band? I rest my case) play songs from an album that I’m completely unfamiliar with. Sure, I know two songs (the title of this post and “Save the World Tonight”) but I hardly think that would qualify me as a fan and if I’m not a fan, then why bother right? I didn’t want to be pretentious.
So I begged off–I had work the next day and I really wanted to reserve my next concert experience for a band I adore. Besides, JL was going out with her friends and her body guard, so she’s definitely in good hands!
That said, while rifling through my backlogs, I saw this outfit shot taken last November during the Supersale Bazaar. I think it would have made quite a concert-appropriate ensemble! Usually, in concerts, you have to be dressed casually to be able to move, sway, and jump to your heart’s content. In fact, if I were to attend another concert, I would most likely follow the same outfit permutation: a cute top, paired with shorts, topped with blazer, plus comfortable wedges–I’d skip the accessories though so I won’t have to worry about dropping or losing anything, and injuring someone unintentionally.
Maybe when Third Eye Blind or U2 (or maybe even Spice Girls) visits the Philippines. I’m so down for that!
Anyway, here are more outfit shots:
I’ve been obsessing and searching for this belt for a long, long, long time ever since I saw Miley Cyrus rocking it in various photos. I find it so edgy and chic at the same time. It’s definitely an investment piece! Thankfully, I was able to score one with rose gold details, which matches my bucket bag’s studs perfectly (trivia: the rose gold studs for the Alexander Wang Diego is a limited edition piece). Unfortunately, at this day in time, I don’t own the Michael Kors Rose Gold watch yet (that I only got fairly recently) that would have completed this outfit. Rest assured, I will be using this belt more often, with this bag, and with my watch–next on my agenda is to find fancy rose gold accessories!
