Coco Chanel once said, “My life didn’t please me, so I created my life.”
I think, the downfall of every individual is brought about by the lack of control they have in their lives. I know it might come off as too much of an assumption, but people (myself included) who have experienced (and are possibly still experiencing) life with a few certain struggles and hardships, would most likely agree.
It’s not to say that everyone should be in control of everything because that’s just plain unrealistic. If anything, I believe that people should learn to relinquish control over things that cannot be altered, over things that one has no power over. Instead, people should “live and let live”, focus on what can be changed, and what can be guided towards a more favorable outcome.
As I said in a couple of posts back, only you are in control of your own actions and in control of your own mindset.
A few years back, I tweeted: “I am contented with my life but I’d kill to be happy“, and looking back, I can’t even fathom how dismal my state of mind was at that point in time. I was resigned and apathetic, I allowed life to steer itself into whatever direction, and I accepted fate.
Que se ra, se ra, indeed.
I was living in the most toxic of conditions–a life filled with insecurities surrounded by people who were equally just as insecure of themselves. The negativity affected my outlook in life, and in effect, I lost initiative, and passion for everything.
Thankfully, I snapped out of it. There was no big catalyst of some sort, no inspiration, and whatnot, I just woke up one day and decided that I was going to live my life according to how I wanted to and I was going to make “happiness” as my goal.
Looking for “happiness” is a relentless goal–I am happy right now, I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy, and I am certain I’ll be happier in the next few years.
It’s definitely optimism but with results!
My life is hardly perfect and I think a lot of things are up for minor improvements but I’m in such a positive state of mind, that I feel like if I set my mind to anything, I can achieve it. It also helps that I’m also inspired to dream big and to work towards attaining my goals; I wake up every morning with a renewed vitality for my career, for my hobbies, for my relationships, and for my self.
Thankfully, there is a tangible output to all my hard work. Plus, I’ve the best support system in the world–my boyfriend, my family, and my friends. Select people who encourage me to be the very best so I can make each of them proud!
So yes, I’m finally in control and I’ve never felt better.
Onwards to the outfit, this was what I actually wore to the A!Life Blogger convention:
This is a shoot outtake my household help took while I was walking into position. It amuses me that the photo doesn’t really look candid.
Because I wanted to experiment the “depth of field” concept, I asked my yaya to take a photo of me with the garage as the background. It’s not the prettiest backgrounds ever but I think she pretty much nailed it with all the subtle bokeh on the back.
So what is A!Life Control?
Getting rid of carbs and depriving yourself with crash diets shouldn’t be the best answer when it comes to achieving your ideal body. For those who want the best of both worlds, this supplement will allow you to indulge guiltlessly by helping you block carbohydrate absorption.
A!Life Control is a breakthrough supplement that contains Phase 2™, an all-natural white bean extract proven in multiple clinical studies to minimize the absorption of carbohydrates. a!life Control reduces the caloric impact of starchy foods, while lowering one’s glycemic index. When combined with proper diet and regular exercise, this carbohydrate blocker may assist in weight control.
For those who have their cake and would want to eat it (metaphorically and literally), go right ahead! A!Life allows you to indulge. I would personally vouch for the product because I’ve seen the results; backed up by science and research, it’s definitely the product to look out for when you want to slim down. Just remember however that as much as possible, healthy eating and exercise are still important factors to getting maximum results.
