As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, I went all the way to Singapore to de-stress, relax, and engage in a handful of retail therapy. On the very first day, my friends and I headed all the way to Ion mall to check out international brands unavailable in the Philippines such as: Bershka, Uniqlo, New Look, River Island, Stradivarius, so on and forth.
Thankfully, right around the corner of our hotel was a hawker venue with stalls that sold Chinese, Korean, Singaporean, and American fair below $10. Personally, I favored the Chinese cuisine so I had my fair share of Roasted Duck, Siomai, and Char Siew Pao.
Come to think about it, the next few days were pretty much just shopping galore. We headed out to Takashimaya, Paragon, Isetann, and the like. Or actually, I did head out to see for myself the Singaporean party scene at Equinox on the 70th floor of the Swissotel (no) thanks to my friend Jed–I was able to meet up with Singaporean-based friends and acquaintances (and ended up sick, coming home to my hotel at 5 am).
I also checked out Universal Studios (photos in the second set later this week) and Marina Bay Sands. I fell in love with both. I might come back for Formula 1 this August and hopefully, I’ll be able to book myself a room in Sands. Crossing fingers!
