I’ve always been a fan of various spring and summer collections—I like that it’s always a blast of colors, in a wide variety of prints and shades. I think it’s a perfect reflection of the weather’s disposition: Happy, sunny, bright, and breezy!
I mentioned two posts back that I was going through some stuff real-time and as cheesy (and ironic) as it sounds, I really do turn to retail therapy to take my mind off of things.
Recently, I’ve been frequenting various Mango shops within the metro. I’ve always been a fan of the brand—in fact, it’s actually one of the very first high street brand I’ve acquainted myself with back when I was a pre-teen.
However, this summer, I’ve been strangely addicted to it. For one thing, their stores harbor the “it” colors of the season—in pastel and sorbet shades, plus contrasts, think: coral, yellow, emerald, tangerine, et al.
Plus the styles are varied so you can mix and match several looks. That, actually, is a quality I demand from stores I patronize. I always require variety and diversity. So in one corner, there’s a section of dainty and feminine pleats, then there are a few pieces that scream sportswear, then the summer tribal and abstract prints, and finally, their signature urban look.
But the thing that I noticed was Mango’s slightly lower price points. I’m actually happy that I can get a feminine, work-appropriate dress (like the one Kate Moss is wearing on my sidebar) for less than 1,500.
