As I’ve mentioned in my last blog post, I had a medical procedure done on my right leg and left elbow hence the preview of hefty and unsightly bandages all over. Unfortunately, bandages and medical plasters are hard to mix and match with couture so I had to skip the photo-blogging aspect of my entries for a few days and just focus on… well, shopping and beefing up the closet.
It’s been two weeks since then and the wound on my elbow has finally closed. I’ve been abusing my gate pass to don sleeveless tops. I am never taking that for granted! However, since my leg wound is pretty deep and huge (not to mention, gross), I’ll have to content myself with pants or maxi-dresses for the meantime.
This is how I wound up wearing my favorite flaired pair from Seven for All Mankind jeans. I love how this fits my body perfectly–snug on the hips and elongates my legs.
Anyway, I got an email from fellow blogger David Guison about Postura, wherein the goal is to wear at least one Filipino item in your ensemble.
Coming from Palawan, I chose this lovely bracelet made out of tiny bamboo shoots, with gold bead detail, as well as the gorgeous wooden ring from Envy Accessories, with faux Stingray leather texture.
Plus, this uniquely-cut top from Style Staple. It’s so sexy and casual!
Last but not the least, these comfortable cork wedges inspired by Fendi from So Fab! It’s a part of their latest collection and gives you the additional height that you need sans the discomfort.
Here are a few more photos from my pseudo-hippie look and yes, I’m aware that my photos are slowly becoming redundant and since I can’t have a mega-shoot, I’ll treat you all to my amazing photoshop skills wherein I’m utilizing polaroid borders! Haha!
Okay, so I’ve been mentioning my Palawan trip for the past few posts so hello there, I’m back! I went there over the weekend to see the “Underground River” and a few more of its rich biodiversity. On the very first day, I was able to hit up 3 museums, and visit 4 various tourist spots. It’s definitely a lovely place that’s rich in culture.
If out-of-the-country trips aren’t feasible for you then I highly suggest you try to head to Palawan.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to swim and island hop. That would have completed my vacation! Keeping my wound clean and dry proved to be a challenge since prior to getting to the Underground River, we had a stopover at Sabang beach, which hosted a zipline that would enable you to soar from the middle of some mountain to the middle of the ocean!
Lucky for me, I had someone willing to carry me on piggyback from the middle of the ocean, back to the shore.
If you crave for the sun and a little bit of adventure, then Palawan is just right for you!
Before I forget, I’ll be attending Catwalk Cosmetics makeup workshop this Saturday! There are only two slots left so go register now so we can learn a thing or two about makeup and skincare!
