Konichiwa everyone! Or should I say, “Konichiwear” and speaking of this blog, allow me to apologize for the lack of posts this week and last. I know I’ve promised to post at least twice per week but I’ve been out of town consecutively. As much as I’d love to say it was for leisure, I ended coming back more stressed than I was when I left the country.
On the bright side, I am just polishing my next blog article on “Chinese Fashion”–I know it’s a topic not tackled very often and I hope I’ll do justice to it. Likewise, I will be coming out in Candy this July, Chalk for their back-to-school issue, and mounting a shoot for “back-to-school” essentials for the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
So anyway, May is just one day shy and I can’t believe Konichiwear is almost turning 1 year old! It’s amazing, isn’t it? 10-months old and still thriving, thanks everyone! So for May, allow me to invite all you stylish beauties to a slew of exciting events:
EVENT # 1: The Forever 21 3-Day Sale on SM Megamall from April 29 to May 1
Forever 21 is having another 3-day sale this weekend at SM Megamall with up to 50% off on selected items! If you present your SMAC, BDO Rewards, and/or Forever 21 credit card, you can get 10% off regular items. On the other hand, if you purchase anything over 5,000 php, you get 5% rebate if you present the aforementioned cards.
So hurry up and head over to Megamall–the 3 day sale event is only from April 29 to May 1, 10 am to 11 PM.
As much as I would love to go, I’m still recuperating so I think I’ll pass. It’s not as if I’m not there every week anyway, haha! It’s a once-in-a-blue-moon event considering F21 already prices their items affordable. Just remember to go really early and mentally prepare yourself for the hundreds of fashion-crazy girls in high heels racing towards that fashion-worthy steal!
On a personal note: I’ve received a few emails asking why I am no longer a Forever 21 brand ambassador. Let me clarify, I’ve long been a fan of Forever 21 even before it was made available in this country–I will continue to support it for as long as I can fit into the demographic, as well as their lovely ambassadors whom I respect and look up to likewise. I believe that Forever 21’s goal in providing chic clothes to the masses breaks down numerous, classist barriers and revolutionizes the way people perceive fashion. So yes, the parting was amicable, in fact, if they will have me in the future, I will be glad to be of service but for now, I am unable to join this leg primary because I have already committed to So Fab! shoes.
Speaking of So Fab…
