All Earrings: From Les Roux
Photography by: Tricia Gosingtian
As promised, I have a pretty little giveaway for one of my lucky blog readers! I’ve been hashing out details and asking other bloggers on how to conduct contests (I’m admittedly a newbie) but I’ve been meaning to give something back to all of you. I figured this was a perfect opportunity as it’s my blog’s second month, and I’m extremely pleased that Konichiwear’s doing well.
Anyway, I know it’s nothing impressive but frankly, it’s more than I could ever hope for. <3 So I hope you’d all continue to read and visit Konichiwear! To make things easier, I made an account at Blog Lovin’, so you can follow me over there too!
Anyway, before giving you the mechanics, let me talk about why I’m giving this particular present away. Like most girls, I love pretty jewelries. I had quite a collection back then—-pretty little elephant pendants on thin gold chains, a dragon pendant based on my Chinese zodiac sign, several heart shaped pendants in varying styles, charm bracelets, emerald earrings, diamond drop earrings, and pearls. Once in a while though, I would lose a few out of carelessness and would almost always get an earful from both my parents. There are times when I’m extremely lucky and I’d be able to retrieve them, and times when I don’t but thankfully, my parents would always find it in their hearts to forgive me and replace the lost pieces with similar looking ones.
But above all the types of jewelries, I’ll always have a special preference for earrings. It’s not to say I’m obsessed with earrings, in fact, I only wear them for special occasions but you see, I went to a strict and exclusive Catholic all-girls school back in the day and I wasn’t allowed to wear jewelries save for earrings. Plus, they had to always limit the size of the hoops and specify that we couldn’t wear dangling or drop earrings. Just to get past the dress code, I would wear the plainest, most generic, metal studs. I would reserve the fancy ones for special occasions.
Now that I don’t have to contend with whatsoever restrictions, I always make it a point to wear pretty jewelries–and sometimes, the most obnoxious earrings (not hoops though or anything dangling as I get easily irritated).
Anyway! Random story is random! Here’s how you can join!
